OnePlus 5 gets Face Unlock feature with third OxygenOS Open Beta
In the smartphone OnePlus 5, you can install the OxygenOS Open Beta 2 by flashing the new build into the device. It is suggested to back up your data as all of your data which is stored will be deleted at the time of Flashing process. OnePlus has given its flashing guide to help all the users easily install the new version. The ROM is available for download on the OnePlus site.
The Face Unlock feature is really the prime highlight of the latest Open Beta OxygenOS Build. There are many more situations for vibration, a shortcut for the Recorder app on the Launcher, and the December Android security patch. This new Open Beta OxygenOS Build has also fixed connectivity issue on 5GHz Wi-Fi Networks. On the other side, there are general bug fixes and performance improvements. The package is 1.58GB in size.
The Co-Founder of OnePlus, Carl Pei revealed that the Face Unlock feature on OnePlus 5 was debuted last month.
This feature uses the front camera of the phone to unlock the face ID, which was first available on OnePlus 5T. However, the Shenzhen-based company eventually decided to expand its presence.
Apart from OnePlus 5, there are many other plans to bring the same Facial Unlock Feature to the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T which were launched in 2016.

Still, it is not clear, that when this new feature of Face Unlock will come on the OnePlus 5 through a public release. The Latest Open Beta feature says, that it would come in the coming feature.Both the devices OnePlus 5 and 5T are said to get their official Android Oreo updates in early 2018. The Older OnePlus 3 and 3T have already received their official Oreo Updates.
